Tono, Iwate: The Valley Of Folktales And Nature

I departed Tokyo station with my friends late at night to go to Shin-Hanamaki Shinkansen station, which took about 3 hours. At 11:18 pm, I arrived at the Shin-Hanamaki station. My friend’s car was parked in the car park. It felt a little chilly so I picked up a light jacket from my backpack. The car was filled with personal items but my friend made space for me and my bag. It took about an hour from the Shin-Hanamaki Shinkansen station to Tono by car. The road was empty and foggy. Suddenly, we found a big male deer standing on the road. My friend stopped the car just before we reached the nose of the deer. This was the beginning of my jounrey in Tono. The next morning, Tono was filled with rays of sunshine.
